As was previously announced, Colleen Piketh and Bobby Donnelly have been chosen to represent South Africa at the World Cup Indoor Championships to be held in April 2014.

Here is what she had to say “I am absolutely ecstatic about being afforded the opportunity to take part in the World Cup Indoor Championship. It will be my first opportunity to test my skills on the indoor surface.”

Colleen has been playing bowls for 20 years now. Here are some of her most impressive singles achievements:

International:
• Runner Up of 8 Nations Singles Championship in 2013 in Glasgow, Scotland
• Winner of Atlantic Rim Singles Championships 2007 in Ayr, Scotland
• Quarter Finalist World Singles Champion of Champions 2005 and 2006 in Christchurch, New Zealand

National:
• Winner National Singles Championship 2005 and 2006
• Winner SA Masters Singles Championship 2002, 2004, 2006, 2013
• ( SA Masters record: since 2002 she has achieved 4 Gold medals, 1 Silver medal and 5 bronze medals )

District:
• Winner of Johannesburg Bowling Association (JBA) singles championship 2010, 2011 and 2012 ( only 2 other ladies have ever won the singles 3 years in a row)
• 2013 reached the semi finals.
